Investment Oversight Committee

Sangatna Angels has invited industry experts who are either investors themselves, help other organizations raise funds / investments or mentors to startups raising funds to form the Investment Committee (IC).

This external committee provides valuable expertise and a system of checks and balances, leading to more informed and objective investment decisions. They safeguard interests of entrepreneurs and investors alike by ensuring improved decision making, greater objectivity and reduced bias.

Preparing entrepreneurs

The IC reviews all the materials, including the Due Diligence (DD) that was conducted for the investment opportunity. They prepare entrepreneurs by asking difficult questions that they might have to answer during the investment round. They also provide feedback where required on parts of the business that needs reinforcement.

Safeguarding investors

The IC looks at the opportunities presented from an investor’s perspective as well in terms of risk assessment - by understanding the market, the solution, financial statements, the ask in relation to the revenue projections and the like.
