Venkatagiri (Giri) comes with over 30 years of experience predominately in retail financial services. After a long stint with a major financial services conglomerate in India, he joined as a COO and Director on the board of a FinTech organization championing the cause of underserved salaried workers.​​
HIS STORY
He currently mentors start-ups and small business on their growth journey across various industries like FinTech (lending and wealth management), electric vehicle manufacturers and resellers and digital health services.
His core focus has been on customer / partner acquisition and management, profitability, compliance control and financial / risk management. He has always been a firm believer in ensuring product - market fitment and regulatory compliance and a vocal advocate of ethical selling.
He takes keen interest in world economics, politics and keeps a close watch on trends in international finance and policies and is an avid follower of Indian Cricket
He believes in the Indian start up growth story and is of the opinion that lot more needs to be done to encourage and promote women entrepreneurs. Having grown up in a household where women were encouraged to establish their identities and independence; understanding the impact this has had on his thinking about women’s’ rights; and finally seeing it play out even today in his day-to-day life has also led him to believe that women can (and do) play a huge role in impacting positive societal outcomes.
His decision to support Sangatna in their journey is a result of these closely held beliefs and his humble way of contributing to the success of women entrepreneurs in the country.
